about
I am Rachel Hathaway Cardillo. I am a licensed massage therapist and certified reflexologist. I am a daughter, mother of four, artist & student of life. I seek to experience and learn and share the arts that have been medicine to me throughout my life.
The name — Ianua — is a word in Latin, meaning a double-doored entrance, a threshold, doorway, or portal — a place of endings & beginnings, of choice, of stepping forward, of rebirth. It is in the word January & the name of the Roman god, Janus. It hints at the way I intend to facilitate through my work.
is to share therapeutic touch, movement, sound, energetic & sensory experiences — to guide you into a highly parasympathetic state — to activate the body's powerful & innate healing abilities — to invite the return of the flow of energy to blocked areas — to assist you to access your own center, and embody your soul more fully in this world.
Would you like me to serve you in this way? It would be my honor.
my mission
“I believe in all that has never yet been spoken.
I want to free what waits within me
so that what no one has dared to wish for
may for once spring clear…”
—Rainer Maria Rilke
